When ever I look at this photo I think it is Point De Chene Ave. Though it must be CT or Maine.
Some images of Ken and Elizabeth’s first child and only daughter Mary Ann when she was a young one. I am thankful to have reckoned with her and her family in the last year.
For anyone that had a dinner or stopped by 18 Haven, this wallpaper may bring back some reminders. I can almost smell the mashed squash.
A little mix of photos that I found in a box of slides this week.
I believe the baby is Ken and Elizabeth’s grand daughter Mary, but I am not sure. Mary is this you?
Elizabeth’s Dad Thomas spent much time on the sea. This is few images that I have found of him over the years. To my knowledge his boat was Tommy Boy and based out of NH.
The historic Cape Hedge Inn with some wonderful old cars and a few Vincent family photos at the beach.
Looking at Elizabeth’s hat it would lead me to believe that this was a special trip to New York for Ken and Elizabeth.
Note: My Aunt adds. I doubt that this was a special trip they lived in the Riverside section of Greenwich, CT and Ken took the train to work in New York every day. Elizabeth would go to New York to see her Sister, Maggie Root or to go on a shopping. Women always wore a hat and gloves to the City, so she wasn’t especially dressed up in this photo. She might have met Dad for lunch in New York, though.
And I am remind on how much thing have changed in how we dress in the last 50 years.
My Aunt just reminded me and sent me digging for this photo of Bette Davis.
Elizabeth and Bette where summer time friends in Ogunquit ME.
“For the Author” that would be Elizabeth.
Funny on how sometimes when going over hundreds and hundreds of images you have to be reminded in what you are looking at.
Over the years it appears Ken used Elizabeth for light tests for up incoming photo shoots. This one is a little different as it a little more finished than the others that I have seen. So, I wounded if they were for an Ad or Ad concept. She was so beautiful.
